The Newport Street Department is responsible for street maintenance and repair, paving and sidewalk construction, vegetation maintenance in the public right of way and minor construction projects within the city limits. The operations center is located at 140 Locust St.

Large item pickup / removal (old furniture/brush) is also completed by the street department. Requests can be made by calling 423-623-5246 or emailing streets@newporttn.org
