Adminstration
The Newport Parks and Recreation is under the direction of Newport Native Timothy L. Dockery. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Chattanooga Campus. The Administrative Assistant is Molly Ealy. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for maintaining financial and budgetary records, payroll, and many other daily duties. The Maintenance Superintendent is Jeff Eslinger. The Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for supervision and maintaining all parks and recreation facilities. This includes the Newport City Park, The Eva Babb Sexton Greenway, Newport Community Center, Pet Milk Park, Filbert and Fifth, Bryant Town Park, White Oak, Danny Wester Tree Park, City Hall grounds, Police Department grounds. The new Park and Float facility and the property for the Eve Babb Sexton Trail Head. The Athletic Coordinator is Francisco Garcia. The athletic coordinator is responsible for facilitating and supervising all athletic ventures ran throughout the city. The Operations Manager is Melissa Cassady. The operations manger is responsible for the business operation for Newport Parks & Recreation Department & the Newport Community Center.
