Discover the Beauty of Newport's Trails 🌲
Join the Trails and Hiking Program!

Newport Parks and Recreation is excited to introduce the Trails and Hiking Program, a guided adventure through the stunning backcountry trails of Newport, Cocke County, and surrounding areas.

All hikes are rated easy to moderate and led by Newport Parks and Recreation staff, and park rangers when available. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or brand new to the trail, this program is open to everyone—come explore with us!

All hikes are FREE unless a trail requires a day pass.
Pre-registration is required.
No experience needed! Just bring your sense of adventure.
