Halloween

Trick or Treat

At the Park

Each year the Newport Parks & Recreation Department hosts a Halloween event at the Newport city park walking track.  The event is normally held on Halloween night.  Hundreds of children up to ten years of age participate in the event.

Many business’s and churches as well as community groups sign up and support this event, to provide a safe alternative place to trick or treat other than door to door.  Each year this has been a huge success due to the support of our sponsors.

Halloween decorations are placed throughout the park, with sponsor’s adopting an area and decorating their space.

The Newport Parks & Recreation Department has sponsored this event for twelve consecutive years.  Each year this event has been a huge success.
