The Newport Parks & Recreation Department hosts a variety of fun and family-friendly events throughout the year, bringing the community together for celebration, wellness, and support. Some of our most popular events include:

• Easter Scavenger Hunt
  A fun-filled scavenger hunt and great way to visit all of our community parks.

• Halloween Trick or Treat at the Track
  A safe, festive Halloween night event featuring decorated sponsor booths along the walking track at the Newport City Park for kids up to age 10.

• Moonshine Rod Run
  A classic car event by Hard Times Street Rods featuring vintage and street rod vehicles, drawing participants from multiple states.

• Cruise Against Cancer Car Show
  A community car show put on by several local groups and individuals raising funds and awareness for cancer-related causes.

• Wee Warrior Dash Kids Fun Run
  A mini obstacle run hosted by Dr. Wayne Berry of The Family Practice Center that is designed especially for young children to challenge themselves and have fun outdoors.
